Psalm 97 - YAHWEH Reigns!

Lyrics: YAHWEH reigns — let earth rejoice, Let distant shores lift up their voice. Clouds and darkness ‘round Him rise, Yet righteous judgment never dies. His throne on truth and justice stands, A fire goes forth at His commands. His lightning flashes through the night, The trembling earth beholds His light. The mountains melt like wax away, Before His face they cannot stay. Before the Master of the earth, All creation knows His worth. YAHWEH reigns! Let earth proclaim, Let every nation praise His Name! The heavens show His righteousness, All peoples see His gloriousness. YAHWEH reigns above the earth, None can measure what He’s worth. Rejoice, you righteous, sing His praise, Give thanks unto Him all your days! Let those who worship idols fall, Their works of nothing shame them all. Let every mighty one bow low, Before the One whom all shall know. Tsiyon hears and lifts her song, Yehudah’s daughters sing along. They praise Your judgments, firm and true, For every righteous thing You do. For You, YAHWEH, Most High alone, Are lifted far above each throne. Above all powers Your Name shall rise, Exalted over earth and skies. You who love YAHWEH, hate what’s wrong, He guards His faithful, keeps them strong. From wicked hands He sets them free, And shelters them eternally. Light is sown where righteous walk, Gladness blooms in heart and thought. For those upright who seek His ways, He fills their hearts with songs of praise. YAHWEH reigns! Let earth rejoice, Let every island lift its voice! The heavens show His righteousness, And all behold His Set-apartness. YAHWEH reigns above the earth, None can measure what He’s worth. Rejoice, you righteous, sing His praise, Remember His Set-apart ways! Light is sown for those who stand, Faithful underneath His hand. Rejoice in YAHWEH, hearts made glad— Let earth rejoice and islands be glad! YAHWEH reigns! YAHWEH reigns! YAHWEH reigns!
