MY AIRBNB BLED CASH! | Amber Bess

A vacation rental near Disney sounds like a dream investment—until the income doesn’t cover the bills. On this episode of The Kash and Dash Show, hosts Ted Kaasch and Owen Dashner sit down with investor, Realtor, and former sonographer Amber Bess for an honest conversation about making money, making mistakes, and knowing when to walk away. Amber shares how her first flip delivered a $48,000 profit despite live termites, a sewage backup, and a renovation budget that jumped from $50,000 to $86,000. But the wins didn’t make her immune to a bad deal. She breaks down why her Florida Airbnb became a money pit, how the income fell short of expectations, and why finally selling it felt like freedom. Amber also introduces Aligned and Unhinged, her podcast with Rachel Vaida and Jamie Flanagan, covering real estate, business, mindset, and life. Connect with Amber about the five-bedroom Papillion rental she mentioned in the episode, subject to availability. Know someone considering their first flip or Airbnb?
