Deep / Minimal REC002 - Beyond the Shadows

They say that, beyond the forest, there is a place where war never reached. He set out without knowing if it was true. He carried a torch, the weight of his armor, and the memory of those who could not return. He no longer marched on orders, for a kingdom, or for the promise of glory. He walked because he didn’t know what to do if he stopped. For a long time, he believed that surviving meant carrying everything with him. But there were things that not even the night could hide, nor the fire consume. Perhaps he would find nothing but more land beyond the trees. Still, he wanted to reach a place where he could lay his sword on the ground—and not have to pick it up again in the morning.
