Saskatchewan and Bell Canada announce $52B to expand AI data centre – September 14, 2026

At the inaugural Canada Investment Summit in Toronto, Prime Minister Mark Carney, Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe, and Bell Canada President and CEO Mirko Bibic announce an expansion of Bell Canada’s AI data-centre project in Saskatchewan, bringing the total estimated capital investment to $52 billion. The project aims to support Canadian data sovereignty and establish a pathway to a 1.2-gigawatt AI infrastructure hub in the province.
