Rough Log, Refined Vase: Woodturning Transformation

It doesn’t look like much at first: a rough, bark-covered pine log with no hint of what’s inside. In this video, I mount it on the lathe and turn it into an elegant 8-inch tall vase with a graceful curved body and a flared rim. Watch as I: Mount the raw, bark-covered log on the lathe Round it down and shape the outside profile Form the foot and the flared rim Hollow the interior Sand and finish the vase Vase specs: Wood: Pine Height: approx. 8" Pine is soft and forgiving, but it can tear out if your tools aren’t sharp.
