Theotokos - Theological Faultlines in the "Mother of God" Dogma

If the Bible says Mary gave birth to the Son of Man, why does church tradition call her the "Mother of God"? In this video, we debunk the Theotokos dogma by examining the origin of the human Jesus following up on the requirement that he must be a representative of man and offer the sacrifice on mankind’s behalf. We highlight the decisions of both the Council of Ephesus (431 AD) and the Council of Chalcedon (451 AD). We note the condemnation of Nestorius. We further expose a massive internal contradiction within the popular Hail Mary prayer. Jesus was both the Son of God and the Son of Man. This rightly identifies her as the mother of the human Messiah, Jesus. The Contradictory Second Half: Shifts gears into unscriptural church tradition: "Holy Mary, Mother of God..." We break down exactly how this second statement logically contradicts the first.
