Read Scripture Like St. Francis | Scott Hahn w/ Dr. Joshua Benson

The lives of the saints are more than mere biographies. They are “lived exegesis” meant to inspire us to radical gospel living. No saint demonstrates this better than St. Francis of Assisi. In this episode of The Road to Emmaus, Scott Hahn is joined by Dr. Joshua Benson, Associate Professor of Historical and Systematic Theology at the Catholic University of America. Together they discuss how St. Francis of Assisi interpreted Scripture not just in words, but with his life. Through their conversation, you’ll learn St. Francis's simple method for reading Scripture, Francis’s humility flowed from his Eucharistic devotion, and his committment to poverty. Watch The Road to Emmaus now to discover why the lives of the saints make the best commentary on Sacred Scripture. ___ Want more from the St. Paul Center? 📱Download our NEW APP: https://stpaulcenter.com/app 📖 Get the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible for FREE: https://stpaulcenter.com/memberships Grow in your Love & Knowledge of Scripture 👨‍🏫 Join Scott Hahn & Others for a Bible Study: https://stpaulcenter.com/bible-studies 🛒 Browse our bookstore: https://stpaulcenter.co/emmausroadpub... ✈️ Go on a pilgrimage with us: https://stpaulcenter.co/pilgrimages 🔥 Support our mission: https://stpaulcenter.co/donate For Priests: ✨ Every Priest receives a FREE All-Access Membership: https://stpaulcenter.com/priests ⛪️ If you're a Priest looking to attend one of our annual Priest Conferences: https://stpaulcenter.co/priestconfere... ___ Follow us on Social Media: Instagram:   / stpaulcenter   Facebook:   / saintpaulcenter   X/Twitter: https://x.com/saintpaulcenter #jesuschrist #scotthahn #theroadtoemmaus #joshbenson
