The Doll Song — Tales of Hoffmann | Jodi DiPiazza | Coloratura Soprano | Rollins College

Jodi DiPiazza performs Les Oiseaux dans la Charmille — the Doll Song — from Jacques Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann at Rollins College. In a moment of theatrical brilliance, Jodi acts out her mechanical doll character running out of energy mid-performance — and a stagehand comes on stage to wind her back up before she continues. The audience loved it. One of the most technically demanding coloratura soprano arias in the operatic repertoire, performed here with complete fluency and theatrical flair. Jodi is a singer, pianist and composer with autism known for her performances with Katy Perry, Cynthia Erivo and Weird Al Yankovic at Night of Too Many Stars.
