Abstract — Where the Past Meets the Present Where the Past Meets the Present is a fantasy-historical drama that explores the importance of preserving Cavite’s history, traditions, and cultural identity. The story follows Claire, a modern student who initially questions the relevance of studying events that happened more than a century ago. While researching for a school project, Claire mysteriously encounters Emilio Aguinaldo, who takes her on a journey through Cavite’s historical contributions, including the Declaration of Independence and the sacrifice of GOMBURZA. She also discovers that history lives beyond textbooks through traditional food, family practices, and the values passed from one generation to another. By the end, Claire realizes that understanding and preserving the past is essential to knowing who we are and carrying Caviteño heritage into the future.
