We lined up the official records for eight of southern Italy's larger towns, from Pescara to Cagliari: 1991-2020 weather normals by named station, the U.S. nonstop flights counted in 2025, population estimates, earthquake zones and the rent figures Italy's revenue agency publishes. Update 10/16/2026: after our check, on 10/15/2026, the agency published its figures for the first half of 2026. Most zones in this video are unchanged. For an 80 m² (860 sq ft) apartment, Lecce's lowest zone now works out to about €192 a month (was €184), Naples' top zone to about €1,376 (was €1,328), Palermo's top zone to about €840 (was €680) and Catania's top zone to about €624 (was €600).
