Today I have this Australian Silky Oak Cabinet with 2 drawers and a cupboard at the bottom dating from 1930 to 1940. Silky Oak is a tree native to Australia and was widely used in furniture construction from 1910 to the 1960s in Queensland and is an Orange colour with coarse grain. Silky Oak is magnificent tree in full bloom with orange flowers. The Cabinet is in poor condition showing a tired old shellac finish but is in great shape for its age. Can we bring her back to her former glory. #restoration #restore #antiquerestoration #silkyoak
