Who Is Really Buying the American West — And What They're Doing With It

Who Is Really Buying the American West — And What They're Doing With It In this video, The Land Barons uncovers across 9 chapters how a handful of billionaires and one foreign dairy company quietly bought the American West while everyone was still picturing cowboys — the million-acre ranch sold off market with no disclosed price, the timber family holding land larger than three Rhode Islands, the Saudi alfalfa pumped free during a historic drought, a basin drawn down 900% past its recharge rate — while an off-grid couple near Salome watched their well go dry. 🤠 Welcome to The Land Barons. We make documentary videos about the families and companies that once owned enormous pieces of America — the cattle kingdoms of Texas, the water empires of California, the timber fortunes of the Pacific Northwest. How they got the land. What it made them. How they lost it. If you've ever driven past a fence that runs for an hour and wondered who owns all of this, we'd love to have you here. 🔔 Subscribe for more deep dives into the American land empires built on ambition, water, and borrowed time. #landbarons #americanhistory #landempires
