Raag Abhogi based hindi film songs

Abhogi is a bright raga, listening to which people get a spring in their step and hope in their hearts. This raga’s vibrance and positivity are noteworthy. Abhogi is a raga in Carnatic music and has been adapted to Hindustani music. It is a pentatonic scale, an audava raga. It is a derived scale (janya raga), as it does not have all the seven swaras (musical notes). As it has Kanada Ang, Gandhar is used as Vakra: g m R S. Some musicians sing this Raag without the Kanada Ang (g m R S) rendering m g R S instead and call it Abhogi rather then Abhogi Kanada. This Raag creates a deep atmosphere and can be expanded in all the three octaves. Following combinations are illustrative of the Raag: S R ,D ; S R g m ; g m D S' ; S' D m ; D m g R ; g m R S ; R ,D S R g m R S ; Moods:- Sringar, Viraha,Virakti Time- Night 2nd quarter, close to midnight Disclaimer : I do not own any copyrights of the song.
