I Rented a Motorcycle in Nepal With No Plan… I Wasn’t Ready for What Happened

I came to Nepal with one backpack, one camera, and absolutely no plan. A few days later, I was riding a Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle through some of the wildest roads I’ve ever experienced, waking up to elephants outside my window, searching the jungle for a Bengal tiger, and wondering how I ended up here. This is my motorcycle adventure across Nepal — from the chaos of Kathmandu to the jungles of Chitwan and the peaceful lakeside town of Pokhara. After landing in Kathmandu, I rented a Royal Enfield Himalayan and set off with no tour group and no real idea what I was getting myself into. The journey took me through winding mountain roads, tiny villages, rainstorms, insane traffic and some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen. In Chitwan, I stayed beside the jungle, woke up to elephants outside my window, cruised the river at sunset and headed into Chitwan National Park on safari in search of rhinos, crocodiles, monkeys and one animal I never actually expected to see — a Bengal tiger. Then I got back on the motorcycle and continued toward Pokhara, riding through mountain rain, roadside markets and the everyday chaos that made Nepal feel so unforgettable. I arrived in Nepal knowing almost nothing about what was waiting for me. I left with one of the greatest travel stories of my life.
