Japanese Reggae: Deep Chill Selection (1979–2025)

A deep chill selection of Japanese reggae, built around one simple idea: keeping the groove low, steady, and comfortable from beginning to end. Rather than chasing big peaks or dramatic transitions, this mix stays rooted in deep, grounded grooves, unfolding new colors without ever losing its low, steady momentum. Recorded live at Reggae Bar drumsong in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo during Chill Out Sunday, this selection was shaped by the atmosphere already growing in the room—adding another layer to the night rather than changing its direction. This mix marks the beginning of my Selection Series. Each Selection is built around a single musical theme. Rather than moving across genres, these mixes explore one atmosphere in depth, revealing its many shades through the flow of a live DJ set.
