Seven years in Japan, and somehow, it feels like my journey here is only just beginning. In this silent vlog, I’m sharing another ordinary day of my life in Japan — cycling to buy rice, receiving unexpected kindness, enjoying the sunset, sharing a simple meal with friends, and studying for my SSW2 exam. Life abroad isn’t always easy. Between long working hours, everyday expenses, and studying after work, there are days when moving forward feels overwhelming. But I still have goals I want to achieve, and I know that if I want to continue working in Japan beyond ten years, passing the SSW2 exam is an important step. I’m still learning, still trying, and still finding my way. I may not be where I want to be yet, but I’m choosing to keep going, one day at a time. This is my life in Japan as a Filipina overseas worker — the simple moments, the challenges, and the journey of building a future far from home.
