Original call buttons! Hitachi Lift - Shibuya MODI, Tokyo, Japan

20 Mar 2026 The indicators and call buttons seem to be original. Appears to be an 80s/90s Hitachi modded in 2015 when the building was refurbished. There's also another lift only going directly up to 8, and 2 cargo lifts. Neither had the original fixtures and so were too boring for me to care. MODI malls close at 8pm, rather early. This video was filmed shortly after as some tenants were still open, however access to the lift was only via levels 1, 4 and 8. I went to visit HMV on 5 and 6 but had to take the escalators down and found this on level 4.
