31 Days of Halloween Movies: Day 15 - "Backrooms"

October 15th 2026 31 Days of Halloween Movies Challenge Day 15 "Backrooms" (HBO Max) A furniture store manager who's life is falling apart discovers a door in the basement of his store that leads to another dimension with endless rooms where your worse fear consumes you. Very interesting concept, alternate dimensions fascinate me, this definitely kept my attention! The movie is very strange and I think relatable in as far as most people have had a time in their life where everything feels turned upside down with no escape. The acting was good, believable and it was filmed very interesting with all the different rooms. I bet prep for scenes took quite some time, it looked like a real place and not computer generated. The main characters fear in the dimension was very creepy! The ending was very vague as to what actually happened and was going on, which leads me to believe there will be another movie in the future. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. 3.5 out of 5 Stars on HBO Max
