Is There Freedom in Limitations?

Join me while I begin the process of starting a new painting! Come along as I prep the canvas, under-paint and tone the cavas, edit the reference photo composition, sketch the main subjects, and paint in the main subjects and work on the field. I chat about the intimidation of starting a new project with a blank canvas, and my suggestion to set limits and boundaries in your creative practice, including limiting the quantity of art supplies and overall choices. As with all my videos, there's always a sprinkling of calming nature videography. Thanks so much for joining me here on my small corner of the internet! Painting a church, barns, a house, a haying tractor, and the beginning of a hay field. All video clips are filmed, and edited solely by myself, Gayle Gilbey Fine Art. No AI or stock video necessary!
