We wanted to both characterize this synthetic nature and give a nod to the original release's heavy influence of the Kirby franchise. -Falk When I first heard the reference tracks for Sonic Before the Sequel, I could tell immediately that Lake really wanted music reminiscent of the Kirby series. I knew that meant one thing was clear: write catchy and memorable melodies. I think the listener can tell which tracks I drew inspiration from. But, I wanted to make sure they were distinct and had their own personality outside of the series' music.
