BEFORE CALAMITY STRIKES, UNDERSTAND THE MYSTERY OF DIVINE PROTECTION | APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN

Divine protection calls for discernment, wisdom, and prayer. Apostle Joshua Selman teaches on deliverance from calamities, responsible decisions, humility, and seeking God's help amid loss and uncertainty. In “Deliverance from Calamities,” this message examines both spiritual vigilance and practical responsibility. It calls you to pay attention, seek understanding, and bring difficult situations before God. Through the accounts of Job, Hezekiah, Jonah, and the three Hebrew men, Apostle Joshua Selman explores biblical examples of deliverance and restoration. These stories provide the background for a teaching on five areas: lack of discernment, carelessness, ignorance, misuse and abuse of opportunities, and spiritual opposition. The practical charge covers careless words, rash vows, financial commitments, driving, and the way you treat relationships and resources. Discernment is connected to learning God's ways through Scripture and praying in the Spirit. You are encouraged to protect what has been entrusted to you through prayer, gratitude, and active contribution rather than take access or kindness for granted. Three closing keys focus on self-examination, brokenness before God, and prophetic intervention. The prodigal son's return illustrates honest reflection and the decision to arise. Philippians 1:19 introduces the place of other people's prayers and the supply of the Spirit. The message also stresses seeking God's strategy alongside knowing His will, rather than copying someone else's path. IN THIS MESSAGE: • Build discernment through Scripture and prayer. • Recognise the consequences of careless words and decisions. • Treat opportunities, relationships, and resources responsibly. • Practise gratitude and contribute to the relationships you value. • Examine your actions honestly and seek God's mercy. • Receive prayer and support while seeking wisdom for your next steps. Study Job 42:10–17, Isaiah 38, Jonah 2, Daniel 3, Proverbs 19:2, Philippians 1:19, and Psalm 51:17 alongside the teaching. Reflect on one decision that needs greater care and one relationship or responsibility you need to steward better. Listen prayerfully, apply a lesson, and share this message with someone seeking encouragement through a difficult season. The recording includes opening ministry highlights, worship, announcements, extended teaching, and prayers concerning restoration, financial distress, lost time, families, and deliverance. Event announcements and dated prophetic words belong to the original service.
