BlackSheep Hummer Week Part 2: Top of the World (4/4/2021)

4/4/2021 We start Black Sheep Hummer Week with introductions and seeing old friends. Convoy headed to Top of the World trail. Some Good wheeling but I get separated from the group and accidentally go the wrong way. Leaf spring plate broke and the axle separated from the suspension. A trail repair begins. We were able to center the leaf spring onto its perch, but the broken plate needed to be welded. So I camp out on the trail and wait for the part to be welded and brought back to me 4/5/2021 The guys bring the welded plate and we put the H3 back together in no time. We get off the trail and meet up with other rigs at the condos where everyone seems to be staying at. A friend brings a pair of OEM leaf spring plates and we begin swapping those out but we’re short one ubolt and the stores are closed TsarTrail has an amazing video detailing our groups adventure on Top of the world as well as my break on the trail.
