Daniel Chapter 9 Daniel's Third Vision The Seventy Weeks of Years! Part 12

Daniel's 70 Weeks Prophecy: The Four Decrees and the Coming Messiah | Part 12 Welcome to *The Everyday Evangelist Show*, presented by Junior Tate Ministries! In this episode, I continue our study of Daniel Chapter 9, focusing on verse 25 and the remarkable prophecy of the seventy weeks. We examine how God's prophetic timeline relates to the restoration of Jerusalem and the coming of Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah. Daniel's prophecy speaks of seventy weeks of years, totaling 490 years. In this lesson, I explain the first 69 weeks, representing 483 prophetic years, and why identifying the correct decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem is essential to understanding the timeline. We examine four significant Persian decrees recorded in Scripture, beginning with Cyrus around 538 BC, followed by Darius around 520 BC, Artaxerxes around 458 BC, and finally the authorization given to Nehemiah around 445 BC. I explain why I believe Nehemiah Chapter 2 provides the correct starting point for Daniel 9:25, particularly because the passage concerns rebuilding Jerusalem, including its walls and gates. We also explore the interpretation of a 360-day prophetic year, the calculation of 173,880 days, and how this prophetic timeline is understood to point toward the ministry and crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Finally, we discuss the remaining seventieth week and why I believe it concerns a future seven-year Tribulation period. Throughout this study, I emphasize the importance of keeping Daniel's prophecy in its biblical context, particularly God's promises concerning Israel and Jerusalem. I conclude with the message of salvation through Jesus Christ and an invitation to everyone who has not yet placed their faith in Him. *Scripture References:* Daniel 9:24–26; Nehemiah 2; 2 Chronicles 36; Ezra 1, 6, and 7; Matthew 28:18–20.
