ROUGH AS A BADGER'S ARSE Headset?! 🦡 Specialized Allez NIGHTMARE Service!

This week in the workshop, we received a generous donation for the club: a beautiful, bright red Specialized Allez donated by Craig. Diane wants it handed over for Team Manvers Wheelers, and at first glance, it looked like a quick check-over and simple road bike service. Boy, were we wrong! Once we got this machine on the stand, the "donated bike nightmare" began to unfold. We found a critically worn-out chain, a broken gear shifter, a loose rear hub (how did it even roll?!), and headset bearings that were literally, as the saying goes, as rough as a badger's arse. As if that wasn't enough, both derailleurs were completely off their game, with the rear derailleur hanger more twisted and bent than a bent thing in bent week!
