WATCH | In custody: Thabo Bester due back in court on 16 May after appearing in Bloemfontein

Thabo Bester abandoned any possibility of a bail application after appearing in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on 14 April 2023. Bester was extradited by the Tanzanian government and returned to South Africa on Thursday morning. He faces new charges of fraud, defeating the ends of justice, escaping from lawful custody, and violating a body.
