Bush School Talks: Erskine B. Bowles & Alan K. Simpson

On January 29, 2014, the Mosbacher Institute for Trade, Economics, and Public Policy hosted Erskine B. Bowles and Alan K. Simpson as part of the 2014 ConocoPhillips White House Lecture Series. Simpson and Bowles, Co-chairs of the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform (2010), spoke about their innovative, bipartisan efforts to solve the national debt crisis; why Washington failed to adopt their solution; and what can be done now to fix this ever increasing problem.
