Mandan Phrases by Edwin Bensons

The purpose of this video is to introduce basic words and phrases of the Mandan language complimented by the Plains Indian Sign Language. This production features Edwin Benson and the audio was recorded at his home near Twin Buttes, ND on the Fort Berthold Reservation circa 2008. This was an effort to teach Mandan vocabulary through the interactive practice of action learning through the Plains Sign Language. The original recordings were given to the late Alice Spotted Bear while employed by the Fort Berthold College.
