How to Copy ANY Moulding / Molding with HOMEMADE Rubber & CEMENT Casting (Step-by-Step)

Learn how to copy ANY molding / moulding using 2-ingredient homemade rubber and cast it in cement / concrete! In this plastering and silicone mold making tutorial, Andy shows the complete process of taking an impression from a decorative design on a cement stepping stone, building a support case (mother mold), and casting the finished design in fast-setting cement. In this follow-up to our most popular silicone mold making video, we use the same homemade silicone and cornstarch rubber method to replicate another molding, but this time we cast the finished piece in cement instead of Plaster of Paris. Andy shows the full process from preparing the original molding, making 2-ingredient silicone rubber, taking an accurate mold impression, building a strong support case, removing the rubber mold, mixing the cement and finally revealing the finished cement casting. This homemade mold making technique can be used to reproduce decorative moldings, architectural details, ornaments, picture frames, corbels and other shapes for restoration, repairs, DIY projects and casting.
