Another rare visitor to the North West 89 Avocet 07 10 26

A magnificent locomotive - a one-off which might have been the everyday workhorse of the main lines if decisions had gone otherwise - pays a call at Carlisle en-route to Glasgow where she is scheduled to stay for less than an hour. Enjoy watching the shadows playing in The Citadel (no - not Cliff Richards' back-up group), the rare sight of a Glasgow suburban train calling at Platform 1, and fine aerial views of the Border City.
