Perfect for festivals, celebrations and evening tea-time cravings. 😍 INGREDIENTS: Rice flour - 1 1/4 cup Urad daal - 1/3 cup Butter - 2 tbsp Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp White sesame seeds - 1 tsp Turmaric powder - 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp (optional) Salt to taste Water - 2 to 3 tbsp or as required Hing/Asafoetida a pinch Oil for deep fry STEP-BY-STEP PREPARATION: 1. Dry roast the urad daal and pressure cook washed urad daal for 3–4 whistles until soft. Allow pressure to release naturally. 2. Prepare urad dal paste, drain excess water if necessary. Mash or grind the cooked dal into a smooth paste. 3. Prepare chakli dough, take rice flour in a large bowl. Add urad dal paste and rest of the ingredients and mix it well. 4. Add water little by little and make a soft, smooth dough. 5. Shape chakli, fill the chakli maker with dough. Press into spiral shapes on parchment paper or greased plates. 6. Deep fry in medium-low hot oil until golden and crispy 7. Cool completely before storing.
