The BRICS Summit in New Delhi has strongly condemned terrorism, with leaders denouncing the 2025 Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. “We express strong condemnation of any acts of terrorism as criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, whenever, wherever and by whomsoever committed,” the declaration said, specifically referring to the Pahalgam attack. The declaration rejected unilateral sanctions and addressed major conflicts across West Asia, including Gaza, Palestine, Lebanon and Syria. However, it notably made no direct mention of the Iran war.
