Despite the digital age transforming many sectors, agriculture remains vital for millions of Filipinos, yet farmers and fisherfolk face low profits, declining output, and limited modernization. Now, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered the full implementation of Republic Act No. 11321 (SAGIP SAKA Act), enabling government agencies to buy directly from farmers and fisherfolk — bypassing traditional bidding processes. The new Farmers and Fisherfolk Enterprise Development Program also aims to uplift livelihoods and help them reach their full potential. To break down what this means for our farmers and the future of Philippine agriculture, we sit down with Former Agriculture Secretary Leonardo Montemayor, also Chairman of the Board of the Federation of Free Farmers, for his insights and reactions. 🕥 9:30 a.m., Mondays - Fridays 📺 Free TV Ch. 31, Cignal Ch. 24, Samsung TV Plus, TCL Smart TVs, Blast TV 📱 Cignal Play, BNC YouTube and Facebook Visit our website: https://bnc.ph Check out our official social media accounts:   / bncphl     / bncdotph     / bnc.ph     / bnc.ph      / @bncphl   #bilyonaryonewschannel #bnc #AtTheForefront #latestnews Warning: Unauthorized use of any BNC videos without proper approval will lead to legal action to the fullest extent of the law.
