3 Days Alone in the Quebec Wilderness | Solo Canoe Adventure in Papineau-Labelle

Three days. One canoe. No one else around. I set out on a solo canoe adventure deep into the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve in Quebec, Canada, paddling through some of the most beautiful and rugged wilderness I’ve experienced. This trip had a little bit of everything, battling through Rocky River rapids, paddling through thick fog, finding beautiful remote campsites, and portaging for kilometers through the forest. Along the way, there were fallen trees to climb over, squeeze under, and somehow get a canoe around. The further I went, the more remote it felt. Long stretches of quiet water, dense forests, mist-covered lakes, challenging portages, and the feeling of being completely on my own in the Quebec wilderness. This was a physically demanding adventure, but also an incredible opportunity to slow down, disconnect, and experience the beauty of the backcountry.
