Summer in Puglia 🇮🇹 | Ostuni, Ferragosto & Everyday Italian Life

It's Ferragosto week in Puglia 🇮🇹☀️ — when Italy slows down, summer is in full swing and life seems to revolve around good food, the sea and long evenings outdoors. This week we're taking things a little slower too. We head to Ostuni — the famous White City of Puglia where we explore its winding streets in a very Italian way with our local guide Aldo and his Ape. Michael also captured some beautiful drone footage giving us a completely different view of this incredible hilltop town. Back home, Michael heads into the kitchen to make homemade sourdough focaccia, before Ferragosto takes us to Santa Maria al Bagno and south to the spectacular natural swimming pools of Marina Serra in Salento. Emerald water, rocky grottos and a wonderfully relaxed summer atmosphere — exactly where we wanted to be on one of Italy's biggest summer holidays. 🌊 And then there's an ordinary Tuesday night back home in Galatone. Live music fills the piazza, families gather around tables, children play and the church and clock tower watch over it all. Nothing particularly extraordinary. And perhaps that's exactly why we love it. 💛 This week isn't about rushing from one destination to another. It's simply a little glimpse into August life in Puglia — exploring, cooking, swimming and enjoying those beautiful summer evenings that have become part of our everyday life here in Southern Italy.
