Donald Hoffman is a cognitive scientist and professor emeritus at the University of California, Irvine. He has published books and articles on perception, evolution, consciousness, and the interface theory of perception. His popular TED Talk, "Do we see reality as it is?" has been seen by over 5 million people and his answer is that we don’t.
