River, Lake, and Dam: Exploring Laurel Ridge Trail

The Laurel Ridge Trail at Buford Dam Park in Buford, Georgia, offers a unique blend of scenic elements. The 4-mile loop takes you along the shorelines of Lake Lanier, high above the Chattoochee River tailwaters, and right past the Buford Dam. The trail does have some difficult sections, but if you take your time, you can complete the hike. The park is beautiful and worth a visit to see it even if you don't do the hike.
