The Instructor Listed Deadly Plants—The Human Whispered, “We Cook With Those ” HFY A Thrennic instructor with forty-one years of experience lists the twelve deadliest plants in the Vhaarn Canopy, and one quiet human cadet whispers six words that stop the entire lecture cold: "We cook with those." What follows is a survival exam like no other. Sigurlaug "Silla" Hrafnsdóttir is dropped into a poisoned jungle with four alien teammates, three days of rations, and a promise from the instructor that he will personally eat whatever she cooks. When the rations are mysteriously sabotaged, when a teammate is struck down by a neurotoxin that the textbook says has no cure, and when the sky itself goes dark, the galaxy's most feared forest becomes a pantry in the hands of the one species stubborn enough to make dinner out of danger. This is a full-length HFY science fiction story packed with clever human ingenuity, gentle humor, and a satisfying payoff. No spoilers, but expect cassava bread, a very bad day for some smugglers, and a lecture hall that will never be the same. If you love humans-are-special stories, alien academy settings, and the kind of problem solving that makes you grin, this one is for you. Sit back, put on your headphones, and enjoy about eighty minutes of narrated sci-fi.
