My last drive in the Mazda3 Sedan. A morning driver POV along a winding coastal road in Japan, the sea on one side and trees on the other, the last time behind the wheel before I traded it in for a Mazda Flair Wagon. No commentary and no music — just the engine, the road and one more good run in a car I loved driving. We traded it in because my wife is pregnant and the sedan sat too low to get in and out of comfortably. Right call for the family, but it doesn't make saying goodbye any easier. Winding roads were where this car made the most sense: steering that tells you what the front tires are doing, and a chassis that settles into every corner. It was a good drive. A good way to end it. The sedan isn't gone from the channel yet. There's still a backlog of Mazda3 clips going up.
