Erythrocytosis is defined as an increase in the red blood cells count, and associated with concurrent increases in hemoglobin concentration and packed cells volume. Erythrocytosis is classified into relative and absolute. absolute erythrocytosis is reclassified into appropriate, inappropriate and endocrinopathy erythrocytosis.
