Composed by Kōsaku Yamada with lyrics from a 1921 poem by Rofū Miki, the song Aka Tonbo (translation: red dragonfly) has stolen our hearts. This Japanese children’s song depicts the reminiscence about one's childhood, a song so close and dear to all Japanese. We performed Aka Tonbo on stage during the Pray from Kobe concert (3rd Sing’N’Pray Kobe International Choir Festival), hoping to represent the spirit of struggle and resilience, and evoke good childhood memories that are instilled within all of us. . . Conducted by Rainier Revireino Composer: Kōsaku Yamada Arr.: Makoto Shinohara Lyricist: Rofū Miki Visit Us!
