“She Came Where Sleep Begins” is an acoustic Dreamfolk song inspired by the Irish legend of Óengus and Caer Ibormeith, opening The Swan Beyond Sleep: a six-part journey through longing, dreams, transformation and the Otherworld. Óengus closes his eyes expecting ordinary sleep, only to encounter a mysterious woman walking where no waking road should exist. She gives him no name and leaves no path to follow. Each time he reaches toward her, morning tears the dream apart. Built around a quiet Celtic palette of harp, Irish bouzouki, low whistle and nocturnal ambience, the song lives at the boundary between waking and dreaming, where memory becomes landscape and longing becomes a road.
