Hi guys, I wanna show you my Paintaudio Midi Captain FW-Setup with the Kemper Profiler Player and StajPilot (not affiliated, but warmly recommended). I used the open source PySwitch 2.4.9 environment for programming.
I think I managed to bring most of the daily needed functions to the MC board:
all FX-slots
tuner (coop: StajPilot will soon release sweetening tuning possibilities)
bank- & rig preselection, fast forward/backward and selection
gain-wheel with rig gain reference and gain knob rotation angle
full looper functionality
expression pedals 1 (Morph) and 2 (Volume) individually switchable (both, EXP1 or EXP2 active). It let's you use morph and volume pedal at the same time, just one pedal or no pedal without jamming the system, if unplugged.
The display shows all relevant information, although StajPilot gives full sight on everything and perfectly matches MC navigation. But, it is always good to be able to use an item stand-alone also (however, the tuner will be activated only on StajPilot, because the MC/Kemper would call the wrong data, if you saved sweetening tuning presets).
Tell me what you think and if it lacks functionality you would expect to have on the floor.
In my new beta (not shown in the video) the rignames and bank preselection will be much bigger and easier to read. They are self developed bitmaps to save RAM. The bank-/rig preselection will stop very intuitively, so bank selection will react precisely to the release of the bank switch / display feedback and not go over and beyond inadvertentlyit anymore (as seen in the video).
To answer this one in advance: I decided to leave tap tempo on the KPP, as it takes a switch including LED's to show tempo and stay open for changes. So this switch couldn't take short- and lonpress functions anymore. For that reason, I decided to leave it on the Kemper itself.
If you like what you see or if you are a happy user of my firmware configuration you may consider to buy me a coffee: https://buymeacoffee.com/alexandermckpp
