Dojoran (Xbox Series X) (Quick Playthrough and Achievement Guide) A Frog's Ninja Training

My next video will feature an achievement guide for the indie game Dojoran. This game released on the Xbox family of consoles on September 16th, 2021. It was developed by Nautlander & published by Ratalaika Games S.L.. In this video, I play through the first 5 levels while collecting all 13 of the game's achievements. Dojoran is a pixelated, side scrolling, platforming game where you control a young frog who is tasked with completing the difficult ninja training of frogs using secret techniques created by the frog ancestors. This ninja training is supposed to teach our amphibious hero ancient techniques which can be used to deal with real dangers & prepare them to survive in the real world. That's about as deep as the story gets, however, there is also a short cutscene in the very beginning of the game which does flesh out the story for the player using text & short, pixelated & animated videos. The game includes a total of 28 unique levels, however, you really need to complete only the first five (5) to collect all of the game's achievements. The gameplay in this game is what you would expect from a 2D side-scroller: you use the left stick to move left and right while using the A button to jump and the X button to use any apples that you collect which allow the frog to essentially do a double jump. The game also includes coins for the player to collect (which are required for three (3) of the game's achievements), a special talisman (one (1) available per level - which is required for three (3) of the game's achievements) and flies to collect (which act as a shield from any source of damage). The game does also include enemies in the form of birds & slugs (there may be additional enemy variants in the later levels, however, these two (2) are the only enemy types that I encountered during my playthrough & they're the only ones required for two (2) of the game's achievements). Defeating the enemies is as simple as jumping on them, however, the birds can actually be quite annoying & lead to unintended deaths quite often (dying is actually part of two (2) of the game's achievements). The apples are actually a large part of this game as they are utilized to pass some of the game's more difficult platforming sections. They can be used in one of two (2) ways: 1. Jumping sideways & using the apple to extend your jump in the same direction that you're moving in 2. Jumping upwards & using the apple which will cause the frog to spit it out below him & jump on top of it which will launch the player upwards a bit Finally, with regards to the achievements in this game: Dojoran includes a total of 13 achievements for a total of 1,000 GS. As I mentioned earlier, all of these achievements can be collected within the first five (5) levels of the game. Most of the achievements are related to collecting the game's various objects scattered throughout each of the levels such as coins, talismans & the two powerups (the apple & the fly). The rest are related to dying a certain amount of times & killing a Slug & Bird enemy. The full list is as follows: Talisman related achievements (3 achievements in total): collect 1, 3 and 5 talismans (on different levels) Coin related achievements (3 achievements in total): collect 1, 75 and 150 coins in total Death related achievements (2 achievements in total): die a total of 10 and 25 times Find your first apple Find your first fly Complete 5 levels Kill a Slug Kill a Bird With that being said, this is a very easy completion which should take you around 20 to 25 minutes to complete.
