THE BIG BEND I set out on a solo kayaking trip to one of South Australia's most incredible landscapes – the Big Bend on the Murray River, home to Australia's biggest river cliffs. After spending my first night at Swan Reach Conservation Park, I packed up camp, drove to a new site, launched the kayak, and paddled my way towards the towering limestone cliffs that make this place so special. Along the way I explored the river, set up camp, tried my luck fishing, and soaked in one of the best sunsets I've seen on the Murray.
