Green building certification is becoming increasingly important for optimizing capital expenditure (CapEx), reducing operational expenditure (OpEx), minimizing environmental impact, and meeting sustainability goals. Watch the IGBC Green Building Certification webinar recording to explore how building performance simulations can help project teams meet certification requirements, earn credit points, and make informed design decisions.
In this webinar, we explore the IGBC Green New Buildings Rating System v4.0 and how whole-building energy simulation, daylight simulation, life cycle carbon analysis, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) can support green building certification. Discover how simulation-driven approaches can help improve energy efficiency, occupant comfort, indoor environmental quality, and overall building performance.
What You'll Discover
1. Introduction to IGBC v4.0 – Understand the rating system, certification levels, mandatory requirements, and credit structure.
2. Building Performance Analysis – Explore how simulation can contribute up to 23–24 credit points towards certification.
3. Whole-Building Energy Simulation – Understand how energy modeling supports building energy performance and efficiency.
4. Daylight Simulation – Explore daylight availability and its role in building design.
5. Life Cycle Carbon Analysis – Examine embodied and operational carbon to support sustainability goals.
6. CFD for Building Performance – Discover how indoor airflow and thermal comfort analysis can contribute to healthier indoor environments.
7. Live Q&A and Discussion – Explore questions around green building certification and performance-driven design.
