Grand Canyon West Zip Line Background The Zip Line at Grand Canyon West is managed and maintained by the Hualapai Tribe. Since 1883 the Hualapai Reservation has been home to nearly 1-million acres of land set aside for the Hualapai people; in recent years, the Hualapai Tribe has opened Grand Canyon West on a portion of this land to serve as a tourist attraction for those individuals seeking to explore the less-traveled, but still-impressive, western edges of the Grand Canyon area.
