Kauai Day 6 (Napali Coast, Waimea Canyon, Kawaiele Sanctuary and Po’ipū Beach)

On our 6th day in Kauai we had another guided bird tour, specifically for the forest birds. Unfortunately, they were hit bad by mosquitos carrying avian malaria in July. 😢 Our guide, Karyle, took us to some off the beaten track spots and we got to see one apapane (no picture unfortunately). Although we didn’t see a lot of birds the Napali coast, the canyon and the sanctuary were beautiful. We also got to see quite a bit of native plants. We headed back up to Po’ipū to hang out with a monk seal and several sea turtles for sunset.
