#CleetusMcFarland #NASCAR #ARCA #NASCARNews #cleetus Cleetus McFarland may have just revealed his biggest NASCAR plan yet — and it could completely change the next stage of his racing career. Garrett Mitchell, better known as Cleetus McFarland, has been building his NASCAR career step by step. After competing in ARCA, the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series and the Craftsman Truck Series, he's now looking toward a much bigger challenge: potentially running a full 20-race ARCA Menards Series season in 2027. And there's a reason that plan is getting so much attention. At Talladega, Cleetus delivered the strongest ARCA performance of his career. He started 20th, fought his way toward the front, led 19 laps and finished just 0.111 seconds behind Andy Jankowiak in a dramatic finish. That performance came after NASCAR declined to approve him for the O'Reilly Series race at Talladega following his difficult Rockingham debut. Instead of backing away, Cleetus continued racing — and his ARCA performance showed just how much potential he may have on superspeedways. Cleetus has also signed a two-year part-time deal with Richard Childress Racing, giving him additional NASCAR O'Reilly Series experience while he continues developing as a stock-car driver. Now the question is whether Cleetus should stop treating NASCAR as a part-time adventure and commit to an entire ARCA season. A full 20-race schedule could give him the experience he needs to learn different tracks, improve his long-run racecraft and determine whether his Talladega speed is a sign of something much bigger. And with the Daytona 500 still sitting at the top of his NASCAR ambitions, 2027 could become a massive year in the Cleetus McFarland story. Do you think Cleetus should run the full ARCA season in 2027, or should he continue taking a slower part-time approach?
