*I Drove to India’s Last Village | Rakcham & Chitkul Road Trip*
Some journeys are about reaching a destination… and some become memories because of everything that happens along the way.
This journey from *Delhi to Rakcham and Chitkul* was one of those for me.
I drove my own car from Delhi, stayed at beautiful **Kailash View Camps in Rakcham**, explored the village, visited its traditional Dev temple, drove through the dramatic mountain roads to Chitkul, went towards the ITBP post beyond Chitkul, and experienced the beautiful Baspa Valley along the way.
And because I know many of you may want to experience this journey without your own car, I have also included *public transport options, route information, stay options, road conditions and approximate budget* throughout the video.
❤️ A NEW BEGINNING
This is a little more special for me because *this is the very first video on VineetSoniTravel.*
The channel may be new… but the traveller behind it isn't.
I have been travelling for many years, and with this channel I want to start sharing those journeys in a different way — not just showing you beautiful destinations, but also telling you *how to reach them, where to stay, what to expect, what things actually cost and what the journey feels like.*
So if you enjoyed travelling with me through this video, *subscribe to VineetSoniTravel and become a part of this new journey.*
The channel is small today… but I hope that with your support and love one day we'll look back at this first video and remember where it all started.
Let's build this little travel family together. ❤️
🏔️ RAKCHAM & CHITKUL ITINERARY BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Overnight in Rakcham/Sangla.
DAY 5 — RAKCHAM/SANGLA → RECKONG PEO

Himachal Tourism identifies Karcham as the point where the route turns towards the Sangla Valley, with Sangla, Rakchham and Chitkul forming the key villages along the valley.

💰 APPROXIMATE BUDGET — PER PERSON
For a budget-conscious public-transport trip, keep roughly:
*Delhi ↔ Reckong Peo bus:* ₹2,400 (Return Fare)
*Local buses / shared taxis:* ₹700–₹1,000
*Stay — 5 nights:* ₹4,000–₹6,000
*Food:* ₹2,000–₹4,000
*Miscellaneous:* ₹500–₹1,000
