Free State government holds candlelight session against GBVF

The Free State government has called on men to take accountability and to stop defending their friends who have been accused of abuse. MEC for Economic Development and Tourism, Ketso Makume, says government should also do more to provide adequate funding and resources to organisations assisting survivors and victims of gender-based violence and femicide. The department, working together with organisations standing against GBVF, held a candlelight session in Bloemfontein in response to the brutal killings of women and children.
